Fire Retardant Birch Plywood

Treated Birch Plywood meeting the requirements of Euro Class B. Suitable for structural applications.

Individual birch veneers are soaked in PW-640 (a fire retardant liquid solution) prior to gluing and pressing. This means that augmented fire retardant performance can be achieved as part of the product’s production process and applies to the entirety of the finished panel.

Fire Retardant MDF

Thoroughly tested medium density fibreboard panels for use in public buildings where fire retardant panels are required by building regulations.

Fire Retardant MDF is suitable for use in internal dry conditions for non-structural applications; ideal for applications such as wall linings, partitions, display panels and so on.

The product is available in a range of thicknesses with either a Euroclass B or C fore rating in accordance with European Standards. The boards also carries 60 minute (Euroclass B) and 30 minute (Euroclass C) fire ratings under BS 476: Part 22: 1987 for use as an internal wall partition.

Fire Retardant Plywood

Chemically treated plywood with improved fire retardant attributes.

Through Arch Timber Protection (a division of Lonza), we are able to offer timber impregnation treatment that can drastically increase the product’s performance against fire throughout the duration of its service life.

DRICON is a BBA certified treatment available in the UK for internal timber and plywood. A humidity-resistant chemical solution is used to impregnate the very fibers of the plywood, meaning the applied solution maintains its functionality against rising humidity.

Fire Retardant OSB

Oriented Strand Board treated with a fire retardant solution during production.

Our stocks of Fire Retardant OSB are sourced from SmartPly. The boards are treated with a Zeroignition® Solution, which is a water-based and eco-friendly fire retardant. This ensures that the structure of the board is not compromised and the product maintains a full CE Mark following treatment.

FR OSB/3 panels are suitable for interior, structural use in conditions where humidity may fluctuate. SmartPly produce both Euroclass B and Euroclass C Fire Retardant OSB panels and we are able to stock both.

Fire Retardant Chipboard

P2 Furniture Grade Chipboard treated with fire retardant phosphate salts to meet Euroclass B.

Chipboard panels designed specifically to prevent the surface spread of flames and prevent the ignition of flames. Spano Antivlam Chipboard maintains its mechanical strength and integrity after the event of a fire.

This product is suitable for interior, non-structural applications where the chance of wetting is minimal.
